cold weather

We had amazing weather up until this week, we've been out playing everyday and went for a little hike last weekend.

Then the rain came and something about the cold wintery weather makes me feel crafty! so this is what I've been making...

I HAD the cutest red berry heart wreath for Valentines day. I pulled it out to hang it up this year and it was so old and looked dead, so I wrapped it in burlap and glued burlap roses all over. I LOVE IT! I think it turned out super cute.

I also have started a quilt for Pete. He's growing up and getting ready for a big bed. I've made it a tradition to make all my kids a quilt for their beds. This is made from all the scraps from all the other quilts I've made. I did 't want any white in it and I think it turn great! now I just have to quilt it. (not my fave. I'll put it together in a few days but it'll take me a year to get it all quilted)
